Objectives Determine total income earned from a combination of regular wages and tips. Use the total number of items produced and the piece rate to estimate and calculate wages.

Recall To calculate a worker’s total income with tips: Calculate the regular wages (hourly rate x hours) Add the amount of tips earned to the regular wages To calculate piecework pay: Multiply the number of items times the pay for each item
