How know shall we live Decision making

After the New-Life experience we are “Born-Again” The question: “How now shall we live?” Biblical: Values Morals Conduct Matthew 5:17 (NIV) 17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Matthew 7:21-23 (NIV) 21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV) 24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Rain, floods, and winds WILL come Are you ready? How do you know if you’re ready? What are your habits?

Don’t lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Take hold of “that” Philippians 3:12 (NIV) 12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

“Now What???” Graduation Marriage Birth of a child Death of someone close to us Employment change Moving

Are you building a HABIT of inquiring of the Lord - regularly? When crisis comes, we do what we know – our habits Is it your HABIT to inquire of the Lord?

How did we “disregard” His commands???? Matthew 7:23 (AMP) 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].

We must formulate a plan and a habit of: Receiving His commands (Inquiring of the Lord) Valuing His commands Prioritizing His commands Executing His commands

How do I know His commands? Read them Listen to Him Die to selfRom 12:2 Obey them(last standing order) Make this a habit (daily)

Learn from Uzziah 2 Chronicles 26:15 (NIV) 15 In Jerusalem he made machines designed by skillful men for use on the towers and on the corner defenses to shoot arrows and hurl large stones. His fame spread far and wide, for he was greatly helped until he became powerful. 2 Chronicles 26:16 (NIV) 16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the LORD his God, and entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Are you beginning your journey? Are you succeeding? Have you arrived? In all three, we must establish and maintain the HABIT of inquiring of the Lord“What Now?”
