A) Rush-Bagot Agreement Both the USA and British Canada wanted to keep fishing rights on the Great Lakes so this agreement was made to limit naval power on the Great Lakes for both the USA and British Canada.

7. B. Convention of set the border between the United States and Canada at 49 degrees North latitude as far west as the Rocky Mountains. Both countries agree to occupy the Pacific Northwest together. This allowed both groups to participate the Oregon Country fur trade.
