20 Visitor Visa Exchange Period: 1 Semester Type of Entries are not changeable after arriving Taiwan Extensions must be applied for within 15 days of the current visa expiration date Expiration date: Arrival Date + Duration of Stay

21 Resident Visa Exchange Period: 1 Full-year Shall apply for Alien Resident Certificate(ARC) and Re-entry Permit at National Immigration Agency A health certificate issued within 3 months by a licensed foreign hospital or clinic is required for applying.

22 Visa Exemption Non-extendable Duration: 30-90 days, depends on the students’ nationality. Students shall leave Taiwan by the end of their duration of stay and re-enter Taiwan again.

32 NTU Insurance Policy In order to complete the registration procedures, students shall provide proofs of accident and medical insurance both worth a minimum of TWD 1,000,000(approx. USD 34,000) valid for the entire exchange period.

33 Purchase on-site If your insurance doesn’t fulfill NTU’s requirement, you may purchase Cathay Life Insurance and Nan Shan Life Insurance on Registration Day.

35 Procedures 1. Log in to De-registration System and fill all the questionnaires 2.Collect stamps as de-registration form requests 3.Upload completed de-registration form and exchange report within 1 month.

37 After completing all the de-registration procedures, 2 copies of NTU official transcripts will be send to  Home university (Exchange Students)  Your mailing address (Visiting Students) in 2 months after the end of the program Page 64 on Guidebook for Exchange/Visiting Students
