Q: Does our troop have to host a game? A: The idea is that each troop practices creativity and leadership skills by creating and running a game. Q: Do we need to supply prizes? A: A small prize should be awarded each participant and maybe a little bigger prize for those who do well. We usually have “everyone is a winner” at this event. Q: Can our game be anything we want? A: Yes, and here are some guidelines Decorate the booth along with the theme if you can. Game should be appropriate for all ages of Girl Scouts. Supplies or props for the booth need to be quick clean up - nothing sticky, permanent stain, hay, glitter etc Set up needs to fit in space allotted, about 10x10 feet of the floor. Let Rebecca know in advance if you need more space. Q: How does this work? A: You will need split into at least two teams. While one team runs the game, the others are visiting the other booths, and then switch giving each girl the chance to run the booth, and to visit the others. Q: How do we win one of the Booths of the Year Awards? A: One troop prize will be awarded to the booth voted by a selected group of adults, as the most representative of the theme. The other is by popular vote. Girls will receive a voting ticket. Q: Is this a Troop Event? And what does that mean? A: Yes. This means We are not expecting any drop offs at this event. We do not have extra adults to watch out for individual girls. Troops need to bring Safety ratio number of adults. Please pay and receive your participant packets as a troop. These will be prepared according to RSVP. Booths are managed by each troop attending. Juliette and “not yet placed in a troop” girls are welcome and if you would like to help out with a booth, contact Rebecca. Q: What “paperwork” is required? A: Troop 1724 will submit the Activity Approval Form for the event overall. Troop will just need to collect permission slips for their girls. Permission slips stay with the troop leader. You can pay at the door, however, Please RSVP as soon as possible and we will have patches for those who register by 10/23. We will not know to order patches for those for whom we do not receive RSVP. RSVP by phone, call or text your Leader last name, Troop # and number of girls to Rebecca.
