You have all now made AWESOME questionnaire’s that we will be taking out to classes We will all have the same questionnaire and be collecting information based on the same questions There are a few steps left after the research process can be considered complete

Collating the Data Collating Data refers to tabulating your results Occurs after you collect your data You must summarize it with significant numbers Can be given as – Totals (245 people liked the idea of BCI rubber duckies) – Percentages (67% wanted the store to be open at lunch) – Rations (People preferred to buy their spirit wear from the school store by a ratio of 5:1)

Collating the Data Marketers often use graphs, table & charts in order to summarize their findings in an attractive and meaningful ways This is of great interest of – the public – Management – Finance – Employees

Making Graphs, Charts & Tables I apologize if you know how to do this......but we are going to learn how to use Microsoft Word in order to make tables and charts to effectively present our marketing data

Recommendations The last step in the market research process Take the numbers, the comparisons and the conclusions you have made in order to make business decisions Business is not an exact science – We use the information we have to make our best “guess”
