Most historians believe that scissors were invented in ancient Egypt. Some historians believe scissors were invented in Brazil. Here is a picture of ancient scissors from Egypt In parts of North Africa, it was held that scissors could be used to curse a bridegroom. When the bridegroom was on horseback, the person enacting the curse would stand behind him with the scissors open and call his name. If the bridegroom answered to his name being called, the scissors would then be snapped shut and the bridegroom would be unable to consummate his marriage with his bride.

The design was to make a product to cut through thin objects such as paper, cardboard, cloth, plastic, wire, hair, etc. Scissors are scheduled to last for as long as you keep them in their original shape. Scissors are made by: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqFt 3OLkb38 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqFt 3OLkb38 It shows that scissors are made by burning them into shape with a metal hammer, screwing two single scissors together and become a pair of scissors.
4
The materials of scissors are: Metal Plastic Brass Bronze Tin Iron Aluminum Ceramic Wood Stone Steel
5
The processors and craftsmen take all materials and have them melted almost then combine the materials one by one to create a type of metal that is made into scissors.
6
The processors handle a screw and put it into a hole in the blade then connect the other blade onto the screw and tighten it. After that they hammer the pair of scissors so the screw doesn’t come loose.
7
The processors package around one hundred other pairs of scissors, they package them into boxes in a truck. They package them into boxes that are secure. But the scissors aren’t just roaming in the box freely, they are in little packaging like this:
8
The scissors are taken from trucks to stores such as Target, Staples, Office Depot, CVS, Dollar Store(s), etc. And put in their storage room to put in the racks and shelves at various stores.
9
Scissors work as they were designed to; cut through thin objects: We don’t really use scissors for cutting someone’s hair, but we use scissors for paper, yarn, plastic, etc.
10
When scissors are recycled, they go from your home (or school/work) and then into a metal recycling bin. Then it goes into the cycle of a metal recycling process. If you don’t recycle them, then you will probably throw them away…
11
We wouldn’t think of throwing away scissors. But when we do throw them away the pair of scissors must be dull enough to not cut paper. It would have to be like in the beginning of the process when the scissors are sort of like rubber. Sometimes we just throw scissors in the trash (caution), or recycle them.
