1 Dear Parents and Carers, What a great start to this academic year – the children are really enjoying their themes, they look smart and well presented and are behaving really well in class, focussing on their work and challenging themselves already! We are currently focussing on moving around school sensibly and quietly – coming in from playtimes and moving to the next lesson. Keep up the good work everyone! Drift in time A big well done to all those children who have been coming into school during ‘drift in time’ – it really has made a difference and you are ready for school and in your learning zone straight away. Please encourage your children to come in during ‘drift in time’ as it really helps them during their school day. From Monday, children coming to drift in time will now enter through the front door. This is due to a number of parents entering the building, which for safeguarding reasons we cannot allow. Children who are not at ‘drift in time’ will line up quietly when Mrs Love blows the whistle and enter school through their normal doors which will have a monitor at them to ensure doors are closed and the building is safe and secure. Mr Keher’s class will follow Mrs Hopkins class and enter school through the door at the back of the hall. Staffing Update Ms Leake has had a baby boy! She is recovering well and we look forward to meeting Oscar soon Mrs Duncan will be leaving us at at half term. She has been with us 15 years and is such a well respected member of our team. We know you will join us in thanking her for her dedication, passion and hard work during her time with us. Infants There are a number of parents bringing their children into infant cloakroom area in the mornings. For safeguarding reasons we cannot allow this. Your children should line up with the rest of the children and enter school accompanied by the teacher. Please do not enter the infant area with your children to ensure the safety and welfare of all our pupils. If children are late, please bring them into the main entrance then children can find their way to their classrooms. Scooters A reminder that children should not ride their scooters in the playgrounds, they need to dismount their scooter and push it upon entering school premises. Please also take care on the way to school, especially the narrow path through the car park, this will help to keep everyone safe. Being Eco One of our neighbours in Lee Road has spotted children dropping litter on the floor. Our children know this is not acceptable. Please assist us and help keep our community clean, tidy and safe. Parent Voice If you haven’t shared your views of our school already, please go to Parent View, via our website, to share your views. Learning For Life, Caring For All, Living Each Day To The Full, Together As A Community. St Hildeburgh’s Church A reminder that everyone is welcome at Family Service; Sunday 27 th Sept and Messy Church 3 rd October, you will need to get your reply slips for messy church in ASAP!) Bible Passage Luke 12:32 ‘Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.’ Oliver King Foundation Holy Trinity continue to support the Oliver King Foundation by raising awareness of having life saving defibrillators in all schools and public buildings.
