Key Messages for 1 st year HCA students:  What you do over the next 4 years will really matter – leaving it all until 4th year isn’t the best way to make the most of your time at university  You don’t need to know yet what career you want so try and gain new experiences  You can access support from the Careers Service at every stage throughout your time at University and beyond  Longer-term: employers value HCA degrees but will also look at work and extracurricular experiences
