Most farmers receive their training on the job, However, the completion of a 2-year associate degree or a 4-year bachelor's degree at a college of agriculture is important to assure that you get good pay.

You need to know a lot about Agriculture, and how to take care of crops and animals.

You are responsible for the care of the crops and the farm animals.

You plow fields for growing crops, and you take care of cattle that are going to be used for beef to eat.

I would probably not be a farmer, you do not get paid very much and it takes a lot of energy and time. It is definitely not something that I would look into in the future.
