WIPO Global Meeting 28 February 2016 9 |9 | The HINARI Access to Research in Health programme provides free or very low cost online access to the major journals in biomedical and related social sciences to local, not-for-profit institutions in 109 developing countries. HINARI was launched in 2001 and now has more than 4300 registered institutions that can access more than 7000 journals. HINARI offers training of trainer courses to address information illiteracy. HINARI and other Research for Life programmes cover Medicine, Agriculture and Environment in collaboration with FAO and UNEP.
