The links and additional information was submitted to the Small Business Administration. Tactical Plans – Agencies continue to complete the tactical plans, give feedback on the process, and share their experiences. Thank you for your continued hard work and contributions. U.S. Department of Agriculture eGovernment Program 7 Employee Registration Update Employees will be able to access a wide range of USDA Web- based applications. Phase 2 of AgLearn will utilize the USDA eAuthentication service. eAuthentication users will benefit from single sign on ability across the integrated applications – only one UserID and password to remember. The enterprise implementation of the USDA eAuthentication services will result in more secure and cost effective access to Internet applications. The USDA eAuthentication service is expanding its capabilities to include all USDA employees in July 2004. This expansion will provide benefits for employees, Agencies, and the Department:

U.S. Department of Agriculture eGovernment Program 8 Employee Registration Update A streamlined employee credentialing process is being implemented. Centralized eAuthentication Help Desk personnel will assist those unable to register through the automated process (<10%). No training will be required for employees. Information to assist employees gather the requisite information will be provided along with instructions for obtaining credentials. Obtaining an eAuthentication credential is a simple, understandable process for employees:

U.S. Department of Agriculture eGovernment Program 9 Employee Registration Update The USDA eAuthentication Employee Registration pages were designed to follow the USDA Style Guide as well as Section 508 Compliance. The credentialing process is approved by NIST and GSA as compliant with Government-wide data security standards. U.S. Department of Agriculture eGovernment Program 13 Next Steps & Upcoming Events There is an Agency CIO meeting on the eAuthentication Employee Registration next Tuesday, June 1 st, from 2:00pm-3:00pm EST. eGovernment Working Group members are welcome to attend this meeting. Enabler Bridge: 1.877.664.9764 Participant Code: 648416 The Annual Government Solutions Forum will be on June 2-4. In the near future, the CIO will convene a meeting of the Agency Heads to share more details about the Presidential Initiatives (PIs) and address any questions. A summary of action items each Agency is responsible for in support of the PIs was recently e-mailed to each Agency Head. Accompanying the action items was a list of Agency representatives supporting the various initiatives.
