1. Basically the web application functions are split into 2: The native app and the merchant microsite. The flow is: user refer coupon -> friend receive push notification (when users first register in our native app, users will be asked to specify the time which they want to receive push notification) -> friend view coupon -> user redeem coupon. If friend doesn't view coupon, user has to continue referring and referring until one of his friends view the coupon. For native app and for the microsite, all users need to use their fb account to login. For referrals, our algorithm will select 6 fb friends and present these 6 friends to the user. The user select 1. In the merchant microsite, the 3 main functions are: view notifications, save/refer coupon, redeem coupon. For the notifications, there are 3 situations: 1. user referred coupon and friend viewed the coupon - user can redeem, 2. user referred coupon and friend didn't view the coupon - user cannot redeem yet and must refer to someone else (who must then view the coupon), in order for user to redeem, 3. user referred coupon and friend viewed and redeem the coupon - then user get star coupon. For save/refer coupon, got 2 steps, first step is user select 1 friend from the 6 friends presented, second step is user can send an optional fb request to his friends.

For the whole merchant bar/tab (e.g. the one highlighted in grey), there is only one click – the click that opens the merchant’s microsite. Each merchant will have a different name and logo (designer will give the logo(s) later). The sentence ‘1 notification, 1 saved coupon’ or ‘1 saved coupon’ is to inform the user that he has unread notifications / unredeemed coupons. If user didn’t view referral within 24 hours of receiving the push notification, user is not entitled to save the coupon, and it will be displayed like the one highlighted in blue.
