Edgar Allen Poe was a little bit crazy. he would write stories of people dying. but in this way I think that he started a thing that are know as horror stories. He was born in January 19 th in Boston. He did not have a grate life do to the fact that his father left him as a toddler. and that his mother died after his father left. Later on he was expelled from two colleges. When he was an adult his job was to write story's. Also he was very creative when he wrote these he used a since of imagery and created suspense. For example in his story the “tell of the heart". He paints a picture of the old mans eyes. As a dull dread full grey. Then he tells how he creeps and moves very slow and stealth. When thy thought he died thy had many accusations. I think he died of the coop theory. He did not get his work recognized till after he died on October 7 th 1849.

6. THEORY ON POE’S DEATH 3-5 sentences…..Paragraph form…use your research from task 2. The coop explanation because I find it likely that he got beat up because his story might of offended people. Also the place he was at was very violent. People were kid napped and beat by gangs just because of votes. He was there of the time of elections. It also says Poe was physically abused in his last day.

7. FAVORITE POE STORY My favorite Poe story is the tell tale of the heart. I thinks this way because it was my fist Poe story I herd and I did not know what to think about it. I t described how he was at this poor old mans house and he was going to kill him because his eyes creped his waiter out. Also he would come in his room every night at 12 am when he was a sleep.

8. FAVORITE POE STORY (slide 2 of 2). While he was there he would just slightly open the door. He would move very slow and let little light in. He killed the old man. Then chopped his body up in the bath tub. After he did that he undid the floor board. Put the body parts there, the police then came at first he was calm. After a while he began to hear a ringing noise and confessed his crim.

9. CONCLUSION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: How is Poe like the “father of the modern day horror story? Did you make any connections with his life or stories? Did you enjoy his stories….why/why not? Poe is like the father of modern day horror story's because people didn’t start writing story like his till after he died. For ensample Steven King writes just like Poe. The other day I was watching a scary movie and then I thought of Poe. I did enjoy his story's. Scary movies wouldn't be the same with out him.
