THEME PARKS

Theme parks are quite new to the United Kingdom but now there are dozens dotted around the country. Theme parks are like enormous funfairs and once you have paid the entrance fee at the gate, all the rides and attractions are free.

They are called theme parks because each of the parks is usually split up into different zones. All of the rides and attractions in these zones are decorated in the same way, for example with a jungle theme or a space theme.

Many of the parks offer two-day passes or even season tickets and many have their own hotels. One of the most important attributes of a theme park is that it is near a large population or that it has very good transport links to the rest of the country.

What you have to do… Choose three of the theme parks, For each one find out: 1.The cost of a one-day pass for you, as a student. 2.The name of the latest ride at the theme park and some of the attractions. 3.How many different themed zones there are and name them. 4.Give the address and show pictures of the theme park. 5.Show their location on a map of England.
