Text Boxes Inset tab, in the text group Choose to draw one or use a given one Helps with entering text directly where you want it in a document Under the Insert tab Draw Text box or insert a given one Example:

Linking Textboxes Insert object command under the insert tab. Drawing tools – Format tab – Create link = continuing the same document from the previous text box to the next. Break Link = Gets rid of the link you used previously. Insert tab – text group. Choose text from file to insert a text into textbox EXAMPLEEXAMPLE

Captions Displays the caption text – description of the item being captioned Labels – Make your own or choose equation, figure, or label AutoCaption – Specifies which items word will automatically mark for captioning. References tab – insert caption Caption box gives you choices on how you want your caption set up.

Footnotes & Endnotes Both reference a selected item in the document, and generally include information about the originator of the selected item. Example Reference tab – Insert footnote Footnote and endnote box gives you options to insert either or and personalize it

Citation Sources Reference sources used or cited in your document. Usually found in a bibliography when the document is complete. Ensures credit for the reference sources. Citations and Biblography box under insert tab Choose a citation option that’s given. You also have the option to create a source.
