2. Intro  Hi! my name is Tingling.  I am going to tell you about monks.  I hope you enjoy.

3. Monks  Monks are people who pray to God.  A nun is a female monk.  Monks have different jobs: they mind animals, write or farm.

4. Monasteries  Monks live in monasteries.  In monasteries there are small places called cells, monks live in them.  In the past, Vikings raided monasteries.

5. Monk’s clothes  Monks sometimes wear brown robes and sandals.  Buddhist monks wear the same thing, but instead they wear orange robes.

6. Rules  You have to take care of monks who are sick.  You can’t have a girlfriend!!  You have to give up your worldly goods.

7. What I think  I think monks are cool, because they made prayers we still say today.  They love God.  And take care of others.
