Back Row Players A back row player becomes an illegal attacker if...

Back Row Attacks The player jumps from on or in front of the attack line… The ball is entirely higher than the top of the net when the player makes contact… The attack hit completely crosses the net or is legally contacted by an opponent.

Referee Signals If you are certain no fault has occurred by the back row player, with a slight horizontal sweeping motion on the side of the attacker, extend arm parallel to the floor, palm down.

Back Row Block AAAA back-row player attempting to play a ball in the space directly above the net is considered an illegal blocker if the ball is attacked or blocked by an opponent into the back- row player while the player is reaching above the height of the net.

IIIIt is a fault if a back-row player participates in a completed collective block. IIIIt is a completed block when one of the players touches the ball. IIIIt is illegal for a Libero to block or attempt to block.
