2 Ta pia Eld er Dalt on Nest or Cho lo Ger man Nick Torr es Espino za Rica rdo Toni o K 1.If your closest to the ball - pressure it –make him turn towards his own goal.. 3. If you are near the ball, find teammates and create a short, narrow block. Line of confrontation. Line of defense. 4. At ¾ line :Cut off forward passes. 2. The rest of the team except the sweeper moves into a 30 X 40 Yard Defensive Block. Within the block, we man-mark opposing players and try to intercept the next pass. 5. When the opponent makes a pass, we “press” the ball. Our Sweeper and our Keeper take care of Any long clearance. We reagain possession, “open up, and start to build a new attack. 4. All other players, except the Sweeper Back, tightly mark the nearest man and step in front of him right before the a pass is made. K SW When our “pressing” takes away the opponents time and space on the ball, one of our marking players will be able to step in front and intercept the ball. When we loose the ball in the final third:

Each player can mark an opponent who is in his “area”. Line of confrontation. Line of defense. When we loose the ball in the final third: 3. The block should be 30 X 40 Yards. It “starts” at the ¾ field line and ”ends” about 10 Yards behind the center stripe. 30 X 40 Yard Defensive Block 1.Our nearest player to the ball should pressure it to slow him down. Try to make his head go down. Make him play backwards or sideways. 4. As the other team passes the ball, the entire block moves with the ball. When the ball is passed each player releases his mark, shifts and marks any opponent who is in his “new area”. The “high” striker keeps working to prevent a “switch” to the other side of the field. When the ball “arrives” at the “line of confrontation” at ¾ field, either through a dribble by the opponent or a vertical pass, the front line moves into a “pressure and cover” action on the ball.
