4 Every day, expect students to explain their thinking. Content example: (K) Counting backwards (4) Loose caboose

5 Manipulatives should be available and integrated to every math lesson. Content example: (1) Part/Whole (2) Snap cube measurement

6 Students should be taught specific strategies to Improving memory and understanding Content example: (3) Finger Multiplication

7 Students should maintain a math journal to record and store math resources. Content example: (5) Big Inch
