1 Unit 3 ● Week 5 instinctively Key Words Define: Means it is done naturally, without thought Context Clue: He instinctively ducked his head when the ball came towards him. Ask: Why is ducking done instinctively? Context Clue: “Instinctively, I looked around to see if anybody was watching” (Honus & Me, pg 353 ).

2 Unit 3 ● Week 5 decrease Key Words Define: If you decrease something, you lower it. Context Clue: The temperature will decrease with the arrival of winter. Ask: How can you decrease the time it takes to do your chores? Context Clue: “A tiny nick in this card might decrease its value by thousands of dollars” (Honus & Me, pg 354 ).
