Your job is to pick parts of a text that you found significant, engaging or unusual, record them and explain why.
Ex: Can be funny, sad, scary

3. Word Wizard
Your job is to look up unknown/special vocabulary in the article
Ex: New words, different word, interesting words, important words

4. Summarizer
Your job is to share a brief but interesting summary of the reading.

5. Connector Your job is to connect the reading to the outside world
Ex: connection to your life, other people, similar events, other stories that you have read.

6. Time keeper
Your job is to keep track of the time. Make sure everyone gets a chance to speak. Also pose questions to the group about the reading.
Ex: “What did you guys think about this statement…?
Did anyone find ___ interesting/surprising when you read it? Can you tell us why?
