4 Weimar Republic- government in Germany after WWI AFTER WWI… Germany agreed to an armistice on November 11 th, 1918 (This ended WWI) Peace terms were imposed on the Germans in 1919 (Treaty of Versailles) German soldiers did not believe they had been defeated Germany was in a state of economic chaos- Food shortages and a high death toll during WWI
