2. Where do we come from?  located in southeastern Europe  it covers an area of 56.542 km 2  4.29m inhabitants  the capital and largest city is Zagreb

3.  7% of our territory are protected natural areas - 8 national parks and 11 nature parks  the Adriatic Sea (with 1184 islands), forests and rivers

4. Our county  situated in the Pannonian Plain between two big rivers, the Danube and Sava  covers 4,3% of the Croatian area  the average population density is 73 inhabitants per km 2  the biggest towns are Vukovar, Ilok and Vinkovci

5. Our town Vinkovci  94,21 km 2 and 35.312 inhabitants  exists since 4000-1600 B.C. – Colonia Aurelia Cibalae  a city on the Bosut River  halfway between the North Pole and the Equator  famous people born in Vinkovci: Josip Runjanin, Ivan and Josip Kozarac, Josip Šokčević, Ban of Croatia

6. Matija Antun Reljković Grammar School, Vinkovci  the oldest school in eastern Croatia  founded in 1766 by permission of the Empress Maria Theresa  about 740 students
