Thinking hats We need to think in 6 different ways in order to see issues in different ways and fully understand problems.

Thinking hats Serious and sensible, cautious and careful Sunny, positive and optimistic Angry, emotional and negative Neutral and objectives. Only look at facts and figures. Cool and collective. Takes control and organises other hats Comes up with new ideas and is creative

1. Measure the circumference of your head. 2.Draw your hat design on a large sheet of paper, ensuring it is the correct length to fit your head. 3.Colour your hat 4.Cut out your hat. In groups of 6, make the 6 thinking hats. Each person in the group chooses one colour.

Once your group has made 6 thinking hats, choose one person to put on the thinking hat that best represents these comments. I hate school because no one likes me example

We have to line up to enter the dining hall, so people can get their food in an orderly manner

Your group is planning a dream holiday. You need to write your plans in your book. Each person must say something about the holiday, using their thinking hat. Thinking hats (planning a holiday) Write the person’s comment in the corresponding coloured box.
