Entering Enrollment/NSLP/CEP Data in Each School’s Profile Julie Tritt Schell PA E-rate Coordinator February 2016
2
Where to Find Oct. 2015 NSLP Data http://e-ratepa.org/?p=11191 October 2015 data should be used in each school's EPC profile unless they want to use more recent data or alternative data (such as surveys, etc) – October 2014 data also may be used, but isn’t ideal FY 2016 Form 471 will then pull the enrollment/NSLP data from the schools' profiles into the form to calculate the appropriate E-rate discounts
3
Where to Modify Enrollment/NSLP Data in EPC From your Landing Page... Click on a school’s name to see their profile data Use the arrow buttons to page through your school list
4
This is a Static Page. Click Manage Organization to Edit Data Click Manage Organization to modify Enrollment/NSLP Data
5
If You See This Error.. If you receive a ‘Permission Not Granted’ Error: The school is associated with a different "parent" in EPC You must call USAC at 888-203-8100 and have them fix the problem Explain to them the error you received, and that the EPC system is identifying this school (or schools) as being with the wrong parent Make sure they fix the problem while you're on the phone and link these schools to your BEN
6
Edit the School’s Profile Data: NON CEP Schools Enrollment data (Column W) If you have part-time students, enter those totals here (if none, you must enter 0): Total Free/Reduced Lunch data (Column X) System requires an answer to whether you used a survey or sibling match
7
Edit the School’s Profile Data: CEP-Participating Schools Use ‘CEP Percentage’ data from column F in CEP % Data Tab This figure is calculated automatically based on enrollment and CEP% data. Enrollment data (Column E from CEP Tab) If you have part-time students, enter those totals here (if none, you must enter 0): 62.3
8
Modification Nickname Required After you “submit” NSLP data, system will ask you to give the modification a nickname As of now, there is no tab in EPC which shows your modifications, but it’s likely coming soon Update Juniata Elem with Oct 2015 NSLP Data
9
Returning to the List of Schools To update the next school’s data, return to the Landing Page by clicking on the USAC Logo in the top left corner Click on the next school
10
PIA Discount Validation When the SLD's PIA staff reviews your applications, they use the PDE NSLP data to validate your discounts If you have other data (such as from an income survey or more recent NSLP data), you may use it but you should expect a call from the PIA staff requesting thorough documentation to validate your figures
11
List all School Buildings The PDE NSLP spreadsheet only contains buildings that have students participating in the NSLP program If a school doesn’t participate in NSLP, they still must be listed in EPC and must have enrollment and NSLP eligibility data entered
12
NSLP Data Upload Template There is a template to upload the enrollment/NSLP or CEP data into EPC instead of going through this process school by school (which will be useful for large school districts) However, the template was just released and is not yet working It's only available under > Related Actions, then > Upload Entity Profile Data
13
Consortia Do NOT Enter NSLP Data All consortia discount information is pulled from their member entity’s EPC Portals The system does not allow for consortia to enter data for their member schools/districts – I all has to be done at the district level – However, if the IU has obtained a Consultant Registration Number (CRN), they can enter this data on behalf of their schools if, as the consultant, they've been given Full or Partial Rights Permission
