How people guess your password Your partner, child, or pet's name, possibly followed by a 0 or 1 The last 4 digits of your social security number. 123 or 1234 or 123456. "password" Your city, or college, football team name. Date of birth – yours, your partner's or your child's. "god" "money" "love"

Phishing Phishing- Is the attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. -Common examples of phishing are :Being asked for bank account details via email -Receiving emails from websites asking you to confirm your password,they are more often than not fake. -Log in details in general are sought after for scammers and hackers

How to protect yourself from Phishing 1) Be cautious of unrecognised email addresses, especially when they’re asking for any personal details. 2)Do not click on any links in your emails related to: Your bank account or login details. 3)Protect your computer with a firewall, spam filter and an anti-virus,This will filter out most phishing emails. 4)Check your bank statements and online accounts regularly to know if anyone is using your details illegally.

Password strength Is at least eight characters long. Does not contain your user name, real name, or company name. Does not contain a complete word. Is significantly different from previous passwords. Contains characters from each of the following four categories Examples: BankLoginBankLogin13Bank-Login!3
