Strategy Vision Refugees are participating fully and integrated socially and economically as soon as possible so they are living independently, undertaking the same responsibilities, and exercising the same rights as other New Zealanders and have a strong sense of belonging to their own community and to New Zealand.

Second Phase of Implementation – 2014/15 Mapping of English language – alignment of provision Audit and Evaluation of outcomes from Reception programme and initial resettlement Employment DVD for reception programme Driver training programme

Third Phase of Implementation – 2015/16 Addressing the language barrier to accessing support services Have in place interpreter provision so that refugees requiring language support have equal access to services/programmes Improved coordination of interpreters to support access to services and ensure quality

Measuring annually the outcomes under each of the success indicators Reported to the SSW Chief Executives Group annually Base line for the employment and benefit uptake using previous 5 years data. Health measures in place with further refinement required Education measured against the national target Housing measure in place with further refinements required Strategy Measures
