6 Being on the programme gave me an incredible boost of confidence at what I suspect I will look back on as a crucial stage in my career. I just wish programmes like this were ongoing. [The retreat] has been very helpful, because I think the university environment is one where you are supposed to demonstrate ability all the time and what has been really useful here is that it’s a space where that’s not on the agenda, where you have to demonstrate that you are super dynamic; that has almost been taken out of the equation. It has been very, very useful.
