3 Today Home owners are responsible for everything up to the main sewer, including the connection Post-transfer All sewers transfer All laterals and drains outside property boundaries transfer - BUT Home owners are still responsible for the private drains within their boundary Following transfer, customers will still be responsible for some drainage pipes

5 Impact on Highway Authorities No change in current volume of operational work in the Highway. i.e. blockage clearance. No change to how Developers/customers procure sewer/drain connections in the highway Will have to apply to you for a licence From 1 April 2012 sewer/drain connections will have to comply to new mandatory build standards and we will adopt the connections (assumes standards are implemented) Severn Trent will notice in the event that blockage occurs on a transferred asset in the highway
