After Alexander´s death three hellenistic kingdoms were formed: MACEDONIA AND GREECE ASIA MINOR, SYRIA, MESOPOTAMIA AND THE OLD PERSIAN EMPIRE EGYPT THE ROMANS TOOK CONTROL OF THE GREEK TERRITORIES (1ST AND 2ND CENTURY BC)
