Diversion plates “In plate tectonics, a divergent boundary or divergent plate boundary (also known as a constructive boundary or an extensional boundary) is a linear feature that exists between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other.”
4
WHAT IS A transformative plate Places where plates slide past each other are called transform boundaries.
5
A conversion plate is A conversion plate is where plates crash or crunch or crumple together are then called convergent boundaries. Plates only move a few centimeters each year, so collisions are very slow and last millions of years. Even though plate collisions take a long time, lots of interesting things happen. For example, in the drawing above, an oceanic plate has crashed into a continental plate.
6
WHAT IS A HOTSPOT A HOTSPOT IS WHEN THERE IS A HOT PLACE AND ALL ITS SUROUNDINGS ARE COLD LIKE HAWWI FOR EXAMPLE.
