PROCEDURE A. WHOLE BRAIN ORGANIZATION WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO LOCATE BEFORE CUTTING THE BRAIN IN HALF? WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTED TO DO? LOCATE THE FOLLOWING: CEREBRAL CORTEX CEREBELLUM MENINGES BRAIN STEM OPTIC CHIASM LOBES: PARIETAL, TEMPORAL, FRONTAL DO THE FOLLOWING: COMPARE SHEEP BRAIN TO HUMAN AS AVAILABLE LOCATE OLFACTORY LOBES IDENTIFY THE SULCCI AND GYRI WHICH ARE THE HILLS & WHICH ARE THE VALLEYS? DISSECTION CLEAN-UP REMOVE SCALPEL, FORCEPS, SCISSORS & PROBE WASH THEM IN PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH SOAPY WATER RINSE, DRY AND RETURN TO BEAKERS DISPOSE OF BRAIN MATTER BY WRAPPING IT UP IN THE BENCH PAPER DISPOSE OF IN RED BIOHAZARD BAG CLEAN OFF THE TABLES PLEASE! MOVE CHAIRS BACK PLEASE!
