2. What does the Bible say about the coming of Christ and what follows? 2 Pet.3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

3. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. What will come? The Day of the Lord. How? As a thief in the night..(unexpectedly, suddenly) What will happen? “in the which the heavens shall pass away” ‘the heavens shall pass away’ (the sky, and all the heavens as we see them” How? with a great noise..” ‘a great noise’! Not something quietly The elements shall melt with fervent heat.. What? The elements..seem to mean the sun, moon, stars What will happen to the earth? “The earth, and all the works therein, Shall be burned up.”

4. Do you believe What God says about this event! Look at the scriptures that teach this truth!

5. Matt.24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Revelation 1:7 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

6. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Revelation 22:12-13 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

7. John 14:3 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Matt.24:31 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Rev.1:8 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

8. WHEN will it come? Mark 13:32 “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” The day nor the hour of the day…KNOWETH NO MAN. Not the angels, Neither the Son, but GOD ALONE KNOWS

9. What will happen on that day and on that hour? Searching the Scriptures to find out: Acts 17:11; John 5:39 1. All that are in the grave shall hear his voice. Both good and bad! All will come forth! John 5:28-29 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

10. The Dead in Christ will Rise First…. I Thess. 4:16,17 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Who are the dead in Christ? Rev. 14:13; Baptized believers Gal.3:27

11. All God’s people will be united together in the clouds. I Thess.4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

12. The Judgment of God for all mankind Matt.25:31-33 A GREAT SEPARATION WILL BE MADE 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Where will you be put at this hour this morning if this is The day Jesus comes! On the Right Side or on the Left Side? And Jesus tells them why they are where they are! V.34-46

13. What did Peter say about the earth? “The earth and all the works therein shall be burned up” This world is not my home!

14. Another thing about the earth… Does the Bible say anywhere that Jesus will ever Set his feet upon this earth again?

15. Do you see why God says the following: I John 2:15-17 “Love not the world…. Rom. 12:1,2 “Do not be conformed to this world” Matt. 6:19-21 “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven…”

16. What response should we make to these truths? 1. Believe what God says about everything. a) Heb. 9:27 b) Eccl. 9:5 c) 2 Cor.5:10 2. Obey God’s truth. Listen to Him. Pay attention to what He says. a) Heb. 5:8,9 c) Heb.11:6

17. Hear the Word of God. 2 Tim.4:2; Rom.15:4 Believe in Jesus. John 8:24; Mark 16:15,16 Repent. Make a change. Acts 2:38; Lk. 13:3 Confess with your mouth your faith in Jesus. Acts 8:37,38 Be baptized. I Pet 3:21; Acts 2:41 Live every day faithfully for the Lord. I Cor.15:58; Rev.14:13

19. In Conclusion: We may not know When The end will be, But only a fool can Believe that the End will not occur!!
