Nerve System By: Ewelina, Megan, Ur, Melissa

Nervous tissue is composed of two main cell types: neurons and Glial cells. Neurons transmit nerve messages. Glial cells are in direct contact with neurons and often surround them.

It Transmits nerve messages to the brain!! For Ex: if you touch something hot. your nerves will feel it and rush the feeling to your brain to tell your brain that its hot!!

What organs make up our nerve system? The nerves start out from your brain threw your spinal cord, then threw out your body!! It is also made up of millions of nerve cells!!

What are the main Functions as a human body system? Messages from all parts of your brain travel through your body along a network of nerve cells. Your brain, spinal cord, an the millions of nerve cells in your body make up your nervous system.

There are 2 Kinds of Nerves Motor nerves- carry messages from your brain to your muscle. Sensory nerves- carry messages to your brain from your sense organs.

What are the functions of the organs in the nervous system? Brain- There are many nerves in the brain. They send messages all over our body, through our spinal cord. They tell our body what to do an how to react. Spinal cord- with out our spinal cord you would be a potatoe.Ex: if you break ur spinal cord, you become parilized, which usally means your cant move and or feel things.

How do the nerves perform these function? The brain sends messages to the spinal cord which tells the rest of the body parts what to do. For example, if you get burned it goes to your brain and it tells you how to react.

What can go wrong with the nerve system? You can get paralyzed. For example, if you hit something very hard you wouldn’t even feel it.

How people make sure the nerve system remains healthy? eat healthy, wear a seat belt, don't get too close to a fire or a warm object, be careful while playing sports, drink milk..etc.

What would happen if if something went wrong with the nerve system? You wouldn't be able to move or feel. Also, you would have slow reactions to things that happen to you.

Could a person survive without the nerve system? They would survive but be a sitting potato. You wouldn’t be able to do anything, just sit and stare.

Why are you an important to the human body? We wouldn't have feelings. You also wouldn’t be able to do the everyday routine. For example, you wouldn’t be able to go to school or hang out with your friends.
