2. 01/03/2016 AYDM 2 UMHCG Montenegro does not offer accessible public transport. This makes mobility for persons with disabilities very difficult. For this reason, there isn’t accessible education, employment, culture and sport and at the far there isn’t independent living, without accessible transport. Awareness about the human rights of people with disabilities is rather at a low level.

3. UMHCG In aim to enable to students with disabilities to educate themselves AYDM bought a specially van in 2008th year. Every year, at least 10 to 15 students every day used the service of transportation from home or student dormitory to the college and back. 01/03/2016 AYDM 3

6. 01/03/2016 AYDM 6 UMHCG Our service is offered free of charge and is unique in Montenegro and in the region particularly because it involves transportation of our students in the period when the accessibility of the physical environment and the transportation are at a very low level. As part of the program ''Students Service'' it was ranked one of the finalists for Erste Foundation Award for social integration (2013)

7. 01/03/2016 AYDM 7 UMHCG Through this service young persons with disabilities are enabled to actively participate in society and to develop their potentials. The services offered resulted in increased number of students with disabilities (at this moment we have 48 students-service’s users), full participation in academic life as well as enhancement of their visibility in local community. The project creates the necessary conditions for mobility, independence and education.

8. 01/03/2016 AYDM 8 UMHCG Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro continually implements the Student Service. In June each year it begins with collecting the necessary documents of students. Firstly, they are necessary to enroll in a university, than to obtain dorm accommodation and to request exemption from tuition fees for students with disabilities. In addition, “door to door” transport of students is performed regularly to empower students with disabilities to participate in university life.

9. 01/03/2016 AYDM 9 UMHCG Except the students, transport use all other persons with disabilities and often tourists. Given that this project is not financially sustainable, and is not defined state system as a service, even though we implemented them since 2008, we bought one more van to start the transport available in the official system. This means that we will register company (Private Limited Liability Company) through which we will provide to all people with disabilities from the European Union and Europe to use this transport when they wanted to visit Montenegro.
