Some were created small Some were created with a thin screen Some were created with not as many apps Some had better cameras Some were faster

Once the product was discussed, although the name was not yet stated, the public was very much interested and anticipating the date it would be available. Once released, everyone wanted one and many have one. Price was discussed online along with how to get one.

Battery Life is betterIt is a lightweight device You do not have to take up so much time setting up as you would with a computer. Helps some to stay more focused because of the fact that you can only be under one application on the iPad. Easier to use in smaller places. You can store material on the iPad, instead of taking notes and possibly loosing them.

Who would you expect to be (or who are) the innovators and early adopters in your field of work for the innovation you are exploring? What strategies are the most persuasive in convincing them to adopt the innovation? I would definitely expect for the innovators to be the students, because they come up in the technology era. This would be right down their alley, something that they are comfortable with and something they have a little history with. I think that the thought of being able to use iPads versus having to write information down on paper by researching on a computer would be different overall.

Who do you think would be (or who are) the laggards in terms of rejecting the innovation? What strategies would be best to help move them toward adoption? I think that the ones who would avoid or reject the innovation would be some of the older teachers who are stuck in their ways, and also those who are not tech savvy and the age range varies. I think that the best strategies to help assist them would be professional development classes where they actually use the device and see just how much fun it could be. By getting them to become comfortable with the device is a plus. What other way to become familiar with a device, then to use it and see all of its uses.
11
Which combination of perceived attributes would be best for helping your innovation meet critical mass in your industry? I would definitely bring out the fact that most children now days learn differently and the key to the students grasping or understanding a concept is to break it down in term that they understand. Next I would show them by display of how easy the device is to use and how convenient it would be to the students and to the parents. It could even cut down on cost of paper and notebooks that parents have to purchase. I would finally discuss that the devices would be solely funded by the school, another definite plus.
12
I would definitely have to go with a “Decentralized” approach. Why? There is a need for it Problems could be resolved by using it There are many innovators that would surely adopt the idea Students are living in the technology era, this could be a connection to their world. The 7 Roles of Change
13
Key Agents Instructional Coaches Teachers who are already using the device or who have used the device for numerous school activities in the classroom Technology Assistants Positive Effects More student/teacher interaction/involve ment in the classroom More academic success. Easier classroom lectures Students eager to learn
14
Agent Focus Focus on pointing out the effects on the students. Show that the cost is compromising and would be a good investment. Discuss current issues and then tie in the use of the device and how the issues would be resolved by the new device. Discuss what the outcome results are and how this device would improve and help. Allow time to see, hold and use the device to see how easy it is to use.
15
Based on all the current uses and the latest ideas, I would have to say that critical mass on behalf of this device is definitely present, clear, evident and has been met.
