1 Leader: If you could speak all languages of humans and of angels but did not have love, what would you be? Right: A noisy gong! Left: A clanging cymbal! Leader: If you could prophesy and understand all secrets and all knowledge and had faith that moved mountains but did not have love, what would you be? All: Nothing! Lectionary Year C © 2012 Scripture Union

2 Leader: If You gave away all that you owned or let yourself be burned alive but did not have love, what would you gain? All: Nothing! What is love? Right: It is kind and patient. Left: It is never jealous, boastful, proud or rude. Right: It isn't selfish or quick tempered. Left: It doesn't keep a record of the wrongs that others do. Right: It rejoices in the truth but not in evil. Left: It is supportive, loyal, hopeful and trusting. All: Love never fails! Lectionary Year C © 2012 Scripture Union

3 Leader: Everyone who prophesies will stop. All that we know will be forgotten. What isn't perfect will disappear. All we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. One day we will see God face to face. We don't know everything but then we will, just as God completely understands us. All: For now there are faith, hope and love. But of these three, the greatest is love. 1 Corinthians 13 (CEV) Lectionary Year C © 2012 Scripture Union
