NO MORE COMPROMISE  Whenever we compromise our godly principles, we lose the integrity of our walk with God  Achan reveals the terrible consequence of compromise and the effect it not only has on him, but the fact that it poisons a society of people as well  Our country is losing its values/morals/principles because of compromise

NOT ALL COMPROMISE IS BAD  Compromise can be beneficial when it promotes cooperation without sacrificing moral values.  Joshua 6:17-19 gives us insight as to God allowing someone not born into Israel to become a part of Israel based upon their obedience to His truth

WHEN COMPROMISE GOES WRONG  Joshua 7:1  When we take one step in the wrong direction, it leads to ungodly actions and ultimately destruction  It also is not only self-destruction, but the destruction of all that is around us

THE NATURE OF COMPROMISE  Joshua 7:20-21  When we make small concessions, it begins a slippery slope of disobedience in both behavior and thinking towards God. After the first concession it becomes easier and easier to step further and further away

THE CONSEQUENCE  Joshua 7:24-26  When we or society lowers our standards it weakens the character and integrity of relationships…compromise will corrupt our thinking!  The further away we go, the greater the consequence…God eventually deals with the compromise  God does not punish rather the compromiser destroys himself!

AVOIDING COMPROMISE  Make God’s Word the standard of conduct  Follow your G.P.S. – God’s Positioning System (the Holy Spirit)  Always have a gut check – obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit
