2. Intercession of the Saints Those in the Church Triumphant can intercede for us here and in purgatory. Regardless of what part of the Church we are in (militant, suffering, or Triumphant) we are all united in Christ. Don’t hesitate to ask one in the Church Triumphant to pray for you in the same way we ask one another down here. Why ask saints to pray for us? God wants us all to pray for one another. Read 1 Timothy 2:1-3

3. What is intercessory Prayer? Praying to God on behalf of another. Love God and Love neighbor, right? Does a person who loves God look to Him for strength? Does a person who loves his neighbor ask God to help him on his behalf? Sure! The Bible (particularly the book of Revelation) continue to be aware of life on Earth. The Church accepts that those who know about what is going on down here will want to continue to pray for us, like they did when they were alive.
