To be at rest is to have a conscience, that is still and rested before God and people Genesis 1&2

Our conscience is stilled and at rest through Christ 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! Hebrews 9:14

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mathew 11:28-30 1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the L ORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

1 He who is dwelling In the secret place of the Most High, In the shade of the Mighty lodgeth habitually, 2 He is saying of Jehovah, `My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him,' Psalm 91:1-2 – Youngs Literal translation -Regular, disciplined coming to God brings rest

We can & should seek our own freedom from out weariness & burdens, by coming to Christ

Rest – The Sabbath 16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

Rest – Physical “If you don’t take a break you’ll just break.” - We rest physically, so we can love God and people with quality, not just quantity
