Writing Style Wrote in stylized writing for the time Plays were written in iambic pentameter –Emphasis on every second syllable, five per line He wrote his plays as quarto text –A paper folded in half and then in half again

Facts Shakespeare himself acted in a number of roles including: –The ghost in Hamlet –Old Adam in As You Like It Hamlet is his longest play –The shortest is The Comedy of Errors 13 Plays were set in Italy He wrote more about birds than any other writers
