First Steps to Login Click on Internet and then the NC Wise icon

The class change notification screen appears in front of the Tam start screen. Check the Check All button and then click OK. This screen will no longer appear. Next time you see this screen, it will show any changes in class rosters.

NC WISE Spreadsheet Set Up The spreadsheet must be set up every year prior to use. High School - set up at the beginning of each semester.

DPI recommends to Use Assessment Weights All assessments count the same unless you weight it individually.

Alternate method Use Assessment Type Weights Select to use a percentage method of weighting.

Failure Threshold is 70. Check Delete Assessments at Year End box

Other Settings Count Blank Marks as Zeros Checked – blank cells in Gradebook count as zeros against student Top 2 boxes must be checked Count Blank Marks as Zeros Unchecked – blank cells are exempt or omitted Check this box

When all selections are made. SAVE.

Click the My Preps tab

1. Name that reflects the course being taught. 2. Select Classes

Check the class that is being used for the prep. Set up a Separate Prep for each class taught. Click OK.

2. Type in Academic and check Default box. 3. Under Prep Assessment Types click Add 1. Report Cycles appear. This is set up by the Data Manager.

Check Assessment Types. Keep it simple. Click OK.

SAVE EXIT Use Assessment Weights Your Prep is Done! SAVE and EXIT. You must set up A prep for each class taught beginning of each year. (Semester for HS)

Save and Exit Use Assessment Type Weights When Using the Percentage Method, enter the Weight for each Assessment Type. The weight column must total 100%. Use Assessment Type Weights Your Prep is Done! SAVE and EXIT. You must set up Your Prep at the beginning of each year. (Semester for HS)

Click OK to close Set Up Options.
