Can I exercise with asthma? YES! – Exercise will reduce the number and severity of your asthma by boosting your immune system. – Use inhaler – Ease into exercise to prevent attack – Avoid cold, dry environments – Keep close contact with your doctor

Can I get rid of my cellulite with exercise? Cellulite is subcutaneous fat (90% women) Because cellulite is fat, increasing caloric output will reduce cellulite No such thing as Spot Reduction Some of it is genetic Creams, treatments, massage, DOES NOT WORK!!!

Does exercising on an empty stomach burn more fat? Although everyone is different, I wouldn’t recommend it Morning- 8+ hours fasting, blood sugars are low Body is more efficient at burning fat in “fed” state 300 calories is 300 calories no matter when you burn it Might not burn any fat if exercising on empty stomach

At the gym, there is a “fat burning zone.” Is this better? No – This is misleading. There are 3 zones. Fat Burn, Aerobic, and High Intensity. – Fat burn- More proportional fat, fewer calories – Aerobic- More fat and glucose, High Calories. Fast Pace – High Intensity- Mainly glucose and glycogen. This is at sprint speed!

Should I workout if I am sick? If it is a head cold, sure. If it is in your chest, best to refrain until it clears up Body needs rest to clear up infection, some light exercise may be beneficial. Listen to your body when trying to get back into pre-illness shape.

Which is better if I could just do one. Weight train or cardio? Weight training!!! Recent study ~9,000 aged 20-80 showed that after adjusting for cardiopulmonary fitness, those who had greater muscular strength had fewer deaths from cancer and cardiovascular disease!!!
