2 Home Screen  Provides announcements  Chat managing/messaging (Email)  Edgenuity updates and news.  EVERYTHING CAN BE DONE FROM THIS PAGE!

3 Enabling/Selecting a Student  From home screen:  Select student under the MANAGE STUDENTS tab  Click View Archived Students  Search for students name using alphabet.  Edit (Radio Button)  Enable

4 Update Student Info Step 1: Select student > Edit (Radio Button) > Update Step 2: Scroll to the middle of the page to change user options. text to speech text translation Also, Require student to watch orientation video. This is key to helping student navigate their side of the Edgenuity program. Parent Contact Information: ADD EMAIL!! This will send daily, weekly, monthly updates to parents email regarding students progress in the course.

7 Dashboard  Manage students Orange exclamation point = the teacher must review student’s work before the student can go on (review complete) Red exclamation point = student is out of retakes (review retakes grade bypass email) Green activities alert = student submitted work to be scored by teacher (review view assignment (essay, quiz, test, lab)

9 Customizing a Course  Continuing with COURSE ACTIONS  Click radio button (under edit)  Click CUSTOMIZE  Review items (click Continue)  Review times (click Continue)  Assessments/grade weight (click Continue)  Finish by clicking SUBMIT Admin/Facilitator will usually have power. Educator will not unless power is granted.

11 Edgenuity (Students)  Home screen controls and prioritizes duties for the educators.  Educators have print options. Students DO NOT!  A student that needs anything from a teacher will appear at the top of the dashboard.  Educators with more than one student can add group to keep up with a certain class or 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th block course.  Attendance log shows daily time logged on program (idle time function).  Educators have messaging capabilities that will appear on student’s dashboard the moment they login.

12 Edgenuity (Facilitators, Educators)  Students have video section with live teaching.  Students cannot “fast forward” but can rewind and replay  Students have a “show me” button to explain EVERY and ALL requirements  Students can complete assignment on iPad. All courses have option to change language to accommodate all students.  Teacher resource will grant access to eCommunity page for additional help relating to the Edgenuity program and how to operate and/or perform certain functions.
