4. 4 One innovation that the consortium has brought into librarianship and the library profession in Ghana is the fact that it has made it possible for chief executives of the institutions to sign a memorandum to finance the consortium in acquiring online information resources. In the past this was not possible because the chief executives were not accessible since they will would not even hear librarians INNOVATION

5. 5 The consortium has been a welcome one because it has projected all six public University libraries very well. This is in view of the fact that librarians have been the first to embrace the new information technology at the Universities and are respected for that.
