To tell the time, study the following example:
9.00 pm = It is nine o’clock.
9.10 pm = It is ten past nine.
9.15 pm = It is quarter past nine.
9.30 pm = It is half past nine.
9.35 pm = It is twenty five to ten.
9.45 pm = It is quarter to ten.
7.00 am = It is seven o’clock.
In telling time, sometimes we use am or pm.
am (ante meridiem) refers to 12 midnight to 12 noon.
pm (post meridiem) refers to 12 noon to 12 midnight.
