1 What is the connection of Persia with Iran? What is the pre- revolutionary and post- revolutionary artistic culture of Iran? By : The Great David Ko The Great PERSIA

2 The connection of Persia with Iran Basically, in 1935, the Iranian Government asked the countries they had diplomatic relations with to call Persia, “Iran”. So, Persia is typically Iran. The difference is that Iran is the modern name and Persia is the ancient name.

3 PREPOST Revolutionary The pre-revolutionary artistic culture of Iran is an impact on Iranian culture. These impacts included the change in women’s role as well as well as the act of unveiling. The post-revolutionary artistic culture of Iran is a reassertion of the Islamic Republic. This means that most of the impacts from the pre- revolution were reverted.

4 Iranian Culture Art- The four main decorative features used in Iranian art are stone carvings, brick work, stucco, and tile panels. Due to natural factors, economical effects, and political effects, their works developed over time from Persian history. One example is the Achaemenid "Eternal Soldiers" that can be found at Persepolis. Music - Iranian music is an combination of tunes and melodies that have been created within the time period of Persia and Iran. Two examples are Dastgaahi and Maghami, which are both traditional. The music developed as Iranian life changed. Literature – Iranian literature consisted of a lot of poetry and proses. They usually went with very traditional music. One example of a prose is Ferdosi’s “The Shahs of Old”. A lot of the literature was in cuneiform inscriptions. Because of this traditional culture, the citizens of Iran were impacted by the revolutionaries. This may also be a big influence on the United States’ stereotypes on the Arabians.
