April 2002HEC-RAS Version 3.0 FY02Slide 2 of 12 Troubleshooting with HEC-RAS The User must carefully review the results to ensure that they adequately represent the study reach and that they are reasonable and consistent. HEC-RAS software contains several features to assist the user in the development of a model; debugging problems; and review of results.

April 2002HEC-RAS Version 3.0 FY02Slide 5 of 12 Errors, Warnings, and Notes Errors - when there are problems that prevent the program to complete the run. Warnings - warnings level message may required the user to take some action. - Cross Sections spaced to far apart. - Cross Sections starting and ending stations not high enough. - Bad Starting Water Surface Elevation. - Bad Cross Section Data. Notes - provide information to the user about how the program is performing the computations.
