5 Newton’s 2 nd Law: F= m x a 2 nd : The force needed to move an object is equal to the product of that objects mass and acceleration; F= m x a -When the force acts in the same direction that the object is moving, the object speeds up. -When it acts in the opposite direction it slows down.
